Junkyard MAF's

Post by regencyred »

Hi to all,

Seems like the MAF is the root of all evil around here,
at least a good thing to replace with engine roughness.

I am going to the junkyard to pick up another MAF for
my 91 N/A Automatic. On Ebay the MAF is listed as suitable
for 90 to 99. If I get a 98 MAF are they better or more durable?
There are no 90-94 models at my junkyard. crushed.
Currently I have the original Autec or whatever with the black plastic.

I have got the engine to increase revs smoothly to 3000 then the
revs seem to pull back while holding the throttle steady, like the
engine is starving for fuel. I have a new gas tank, pump and filter.
new plugs, good wires and coil.

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Sites like .subarupartswarehouse.com will show you what years/models a specific part works with.

In the case of the Autecs MAF (part 22680aa160), it works with 1990 to 1998 N/A legacy, forester, impreza .
