What a cool guy. So i assume that method is used when one strips the cam gear bolt? Because the bolt looked fine to me... Why not just impact that bolt. Unless it was just for demonstration purposes

It was a allen head cap screw. Guessing that previous failed attempts with allen wrench had rounded out the flats.

That is neat trick! I wonder how often the cam gears get melted during welding, seems like it didn't need that much wire.
