Fuel pump relay question

Post by CheatingOnMyDub »

So I have a 92 Legacy turbo wagon. Its auto. Im not getting any juice to the pump. Car turns over but I never hear any click from the relay or a buzz from the pump priming. I read about a connecter under the back seat that melts or goes bad, I checked it and its fine. I cant seem to find the fuel pump relay under the dash. Could someone direct me to a site with pictures or with some way of helping me locate the relay. I also read about a FAQ on here having to do with plugging in a scan tool and it forces the relay to click rapidly. Cant seem to find that FAQ either. Im very annoyed at the moment and would really like to get this car running. Please help.

This shows the location of the fuel pump relay.

The ECU only powers the fuel pump relay for a couple seconds to prime the system and then stops. You can connect the green diagnostic connectors under the dash. This will cause the relays to cycle, which will allow you to check the fuel pump circuit and to test the relay.

The connectors should be on the left side of the steering wheel, but may be on the right side of the steering wheel.
