Fast blink on Left Turn signal only
I just bought the car ... its a 1993 Subaru Legacy Sport Sedan (turbo)
The left blinker fast blinks, neither front nor rear bulb is out, no fuses are blown, the hazards work at normal speed and the right blinker does too. All other lights are fine, and all the connectors/wiring to them look ok (from what I can see) - I replaced both front and rear bulbs anyway for posterity but they weren't burnt out.
What else should I be looking at?

Re: Fast blink on Left Turn signal only
Probably either someone used the wrong kind of bulb or Corrosion in the wiring. I once ran the wiring from the turn signals to the corner lights and both sides blinked twice as fast. I assumed it was the different resistance in the bulb but I could be wrong. Not the most educated electrical guy but I try.

Welcome to the BBS.
Yeah I would suggest checking the bulbs. I'd say it's a pretty good chance there may be an incorrect bulb being used, or one of the bulbs may still be working, but on the verge of going out.
Easiest thing to do is just buy a 2 pack of bulbs for the front and rear and replace all the bulbs.

Re: Fast blink on Left Turn signal only
Guys.... to re-iterate. BOTH BULBS (front and rear) WERE REPLACED WITH CORRECT (used the book at the auto parts store) BRAND NEW BULBS.
My buddy suggested the actual switch itself on the column stalk, otherwise I would take the suggestion of corroded wiring, even tho I checked the wiring (I assume it could be corroded somewhere I cannot see it).
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

You can find a wiring diagram for the turn signals & hazards on page 318 of 335.
Download link
I'd suggest checking the resistance across the turn signal witch, connector B67. It should read 0 ohms. Since everything works fine with the hazards, the turn signal switch is about the only thing left.

Re: Fast blink on Left Turn signal only
Didn't get a chance to look at it (or even really drive the car much) this weekend....
This morning I leave for work and take the car, first turn is a left so i flick on the blinker, it fast blinks for maybe 10 seconds then goes to normal speed, stayed that way the whole way to work... random

Re: Fast blink on Left Turn signal only
I had the same thing go on with my 90 legacy and i figured out it was the left front socket was kinda loose and had some corrosion so i put in a different socket and fixed the problem.
