to strut, or to sway that is my question.

Struts, spring, anti-rollbars, braces and the like.

to strut, or to sway that is my question.

Post by antslegggy »

theres actually a couple , but
to buy a sway bar, or a strut bar is the main question.
a part two to that is, ( I own a 91 leggy turbo ss) do the 91's have a rear sway?
reading alot of the forum, the sways seem to be the better option for what they deliver vs the strut bars.
If the 91's dont come with rear sways, i was thinking 20mm in the front and 20mm in the rear to stiffin everything up.
thoughts and information is welcomed,
thanks muchos
tapson.

Depends on what your thing to fix. Basically the sway keeps the tires in contact and the strut bars keep the top together. You can use top and.bottom for the most rigidity or just the bottoms and still have a little flex or mix and match to make the front or rear twist more for flicking or powering into corners. I bought my strut bars from eBay for no more 150 bucks and.they are a good set. Sways are from whiteline.

Get an upgraded anti-sway bar. You'll see a far more improvement with it. Strut bars will be almost a nill noticable improvement.

BTW, your 91 SS does have a rear anti-sway bar, and is 18mm.

GC Impreza bars. The fronts are direct fit, the rears need a little pursuading.

With mine I had to bend the braket slightly so I could fit it through the hole on the sedan. If you have the wagon, you may not have that issue. Mine was a cheaper ebay bar. If you get beefier ones, bending the bracket may not work.
