The fader is fried on mine so I only get sound on the right of the car. I'm just looking for a cheap replacement if you've got one sitting around after an upgrade.
Thanks.
WTB OEM 1.5 DIN cass/radio with aux port.

I don't think they exist. Your answer if even possible will be a custom job of some sort. Cassette and aux port=light years of technology differences.

Many Subaru radios of this vintage have an aux port. It's a fairly common option.
I don't have one, but good luck finding one!

Re: WTB OEM 1.5 DIN cass/radio with aux port.
Thanks, but I think I may have fixed it.
I had the head unit out doing the HVAC solder fix so I poked around the head unit and re-soldered some pins to get the fade to work.
It didn't.
When I installed it in the dash I noticed that flexing the head unit from the bottom momentarily gave me 4 speakers. Since I was going to replace it anyway I just went medieval on it and compressed the top and bottom of the case between my palms until I thought for sure something was going to break.
So far it's been working perfectly with all 4 speakers from an Ipod. I'm still interested to know if your stocker had the port though.

It's been a while but if anyone has one that is in perfect working condition, I'd be interested in buying it.

A lot of junkyards pull radios by default and stockpile them. I got mine from one, might be worth it to call around and see if they have one from a 90-91 Legacy (I think those were the years that got them before CD players killed it off for the next 14 years or so).
