New Turbo Setup for the SS ;)
Ok so the time has come for BIG POWER on the Wife's SS!
Introducing FP Green 7cm Turbo!
Capable of 425whp (49lb/min)
Yeap time to upgrade from the TD04! hehe
Lots of Pics and Video to come!
So here's the car so far :
Specs as of 7-19-11 :
Rebuilt EJ22T Motor w/6k miles
05 STI Engine Mounts
TD04 Turbo@15psi
HKS FCD
Invidia G200 Turboback Exhaust System (no cats)
Turbosmart Boost Control
K&N Drop-in Filter
HKS SSQV
WRX Top Mount Intercooler
Plans are :
GC8 Front Mount Intercooler (Custom to fit of course)
Wideband System
850cc Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
AEM FIC Engine Management (all tuning by me)
MSD Coil (Hopefully its enough lol)
Oil Catch Can Setup
Depending on how far I decide to push the motor we shall see how the transmission holds up to it, not going to drag race it for the time being, its a street car w/ac. I do however have a 05 6-speed STI Transmission and Rear Diff sitting in a box in the garage with less than 10k on em just in case
Let the fun begin!

Im getting ready to do the MSD swap also and i have been hearing from a lot of the people that use the MSD coil. They are saying its crap and fail about 60% of the time. They recommended using the Sock coil from a SRT4 ( Also 36,000 Volts) saying they will have a much better life span. I think im doing that, one because its cheaper and two i hate bad parts lol

lol at this car using an SRT4 coil. I can vouch the MSD coil is crap. Granatelli is the preferred. But stock is probably second behind that. Get on the SRT forums, stock coils can be had for 10 bucks and last a 100k.
The plug would be the only thing that might be hard to get your hands on.

Go to a pick and pull and grab a coil and plug at the same time. I left a length of wire off the plug and then did the same off a stock coil and soldered up a jumper harness between the harness and the Neon coil. Works great and it was cheap.

Yeah, it would be crazy cheap for me. I already have all of it laying around from my SRT. Glad i didn't throw any of that stuff away.
