Slaytalera's 92 SS Project

Post by slaytalera »

Hey guys, I've been a member on here for a while but since I've mainly had BGs, not much on this site has been relevant. However that car is now totaled and I am the new owner of a 92SS, so ill be on here quite often haha.
Anyway, heres the car, its pretty much getting a ground up restoration of the exterior. I had to get a new drivers door and both front fenders, and I've been grinding sanding and sealing spots of hidden cancer...i mean rust. It should be repainted by mid week
pic time!

huge dent repair and rust removal by the rear door

new fenders

as you can see I've already added my old WRX wheels from the last car, the steelies were all rusty and gross.
list of things to be done in the next week:
respray the whole car stock color
groupN motor and trans mounts
groupN pitch stop
new-ish clutch
RS RA air to water intercooler
RS/WRX shifter linkage and fresh bushings

things i want to do
manual belts!
projector swap headlights/maybe euro glass headlights
engine management and proper gauges

hope you guys enjoy the project, is a PITA so far but I'm gonna love it when she's "done"(my cars are never fully done  )

what are you going to do about that cancer section in front of the rear passenger wheel? Great restoration so far and can't wait for after paint pictures.

Yes those are brand new fenders, not used, never seen another car except this one. As for the cancer it was power sanded down, luckily it was only cosmetic, but i sealed it with a double shot of rust sealant and undercoating to be safe lol
