buzzing from wipers

The wipers seem to function perfectly in the high and low settings but in the intermittent setting (1st one down from off) they don't work. When the stalk is on that setting I get a loud buzzing from the dash area. What could the problem be? Thanks!!

it sounds like the wiper stalk may be bad. I believe the intermittant part is in the stalk mechanism. You would need to replace the wiper stalk I would think.

Thanks! I replaced the entire steering wheel control assembly since my headlight/signal stalk was messed up too and everything works perfectly now.
