Clutch options

Post by SUBYLUV871 »

i have access to a 2005 wrx flywheel. i have a 94 legacy gt non turbo that needs a clutch BAD. i can get a wrx clutch online no problem. but im not racing or anything just drivin around, i do mash a little bit though . is a better long lasting option to go with the wrx or just go OE? i did notice that people are taking the flywheel and clutch from 02-05 wrx and installing them but they were on turbo cars. so two questions . will it fit my non turbo? and is it worth it?
thanks. you guys have helped a bunch already? 777 i know you got an answer for this one.

The WRX clutch setup will not work on a non-turbo car. You can use 2.5 Impreza stuff as it is of the same clutch setup. The one comment though is that some of the 2.5 Impreza clutches have stiffer pressure plates, so with the cable clutch, the clutch pedal could be stiffer than the stock pedal feel.
