hah my buddy who got me into subbies never mentioned the need to replace it, does it tend to leak more on EJ22s?

I'd just buy 5 speed linkage with an adjustable short shift lever (cobb makes one) and call it a day. To answer your question above, yes they end up leaking eventually but if you have the transmission out its very easy to replace the rear main and the plate. If they start leaking later you either have to pull the motor or drop the tranny to replace them. As for your stubs/seals issue I think you should be able to use old turbo legacy LSD stubs/seals on the newer LSD diffs and use your axles. You can't use stubs from the non-lsd units as they bolt in instead of clipping in.

Afterwards, each of the cut ends will have threading machined on each end for a total of four ends, one side would have a left hamded thread and the othera right hand thread , then I need to source a nut with a 50/50 split in the thread direction which will allow me to adjust the actual length of the control rods, I want to go this route because it would allow my shifter to be adjustable to the point were I can find my sweet spot. I will also have the LGT shifter during the whole process so I can possibly make a hybrid shifter too. Thoughts????

If you go that route, I'd make sure the rods are thick enough to be threaded. You'll want to find something similar to how these endlinks are setup.

It sounds cool and ambitous, but I don't know how much you'll actually get out of it. If it were me, I'd probably just go with the 5-spd linkage setup with an adjustable short throw shifter lever.

Scooby2.5 at Legacygt.com provided me with the part number for the spec B shifter stay which is the correct length to work with the 6 speed shift linkage, it is actually longer. SPEC B part # 35031AG020
this was for a 08' shifter I am not completely sure if this is same story for my newer sti shifter.
