right hand drive differences?

Post by Binford »

A local mechanic has a '95 postal wagon that will get scrapped. Very rusty, rear hatch messed up, missing front and rear bumpers, etc. I'd like to save as much "rare" stuff as possible. It's only an auto but still, lol. It has an ugly maroonish interior. Obviously the dash and the shift knob are different. Is the whole shifter assembly different, or just the knob? Pedal assembly? I know the steering rack is different, so I plan on grabbing that already. Is the front crossmember different? I'm tempted to just cut it apart and save the whole firewall, but that probably won't happen. I'll be sure to grab the wiring harness if I pull the dash. What else?

Shifter wise, it should only be the knob thats different. I don't think the pedal assembly is different but I never thought to check. Right front door card will be different with the window switches on it. Oh, the wiper arms and related parts are rhd specific. I've worked on a '99 rhd wagon before so I've given it a good look over to see whats really different.

Door card! Thank you! And wiper parts, that makes sense. I'm actually leaning towards saving the whole front clip, at least for now. He can keep the hood/fenders/half torn apart motor, lol. I really wish I had a warehouse so I could palletize groups of parts like this and store them
