budget Heat Shield from scratch in 91 wagon

woke up and decided i should just do this today.

tools needed:
screw drivers, drill, drill bits, sheet metal cutter, measuring tape, 10mm, 12mm sockets and wrenches, scrap nuts, bolts and brackets, hammers, and a power cord split/cut in half

Sheet metal: 1ft/2ft - $11
Air Filter: Spectre - $20
Filter adapter - $5
= $36

took me 2 hours total

now that I have fitment dialed, i just need to spray it with a couple layers of High Heat paint

The filter and adaptor was purchased at my local AutoZone, the adaptor needed additional holes drilled to match the mass airflow sensor holes.

I bought a pre cut piece of sheet metal from Home Depot at 1ft by 2ft in size.
I had no specific dimensions going into it.
As seen in first picture, Back half is 13.5in. And front part is 10.5in. Bottom flap is 1.5in (cut the 1.5in at the 13.5 and 10.5 fold), I had to form the top of the sheet to fit under the hood without hitting anything, so I drew then cut a line with backside being the remaining 10.5in after folding the bottom part and the front being 9in, so it's angled down (only the back half is cut in picture #1). the rest of the cuts and holes were all done by putting it in place, measuring, marking, take out, cut and do it all over again until it fit right. You can see all the cuts and holes I made after doing the bends and first few cuts.
