drove back across the country

Post by SILINC3R »

So just drove the road warrior from Seattle to GA for the second time 2900 miles with no problems. Was focused on mpg and managed 32 miles on several tanks. Was a crazy drive made it in less than 42 hours. Car now has 259XXX miles on it and still no problems as far as I know. Never seen so many dead deer, lucky I never had to be the one to do the job.
Wouldn't have made it without Pandora and 5 Hour Energy.
Gas prices:
Seattle 3.95
Chicago 4.20
Indiana 4.11
GA 3.53 score

Nice!

I think my record from Seattle to Allentown, PA 3,000 miles (east side of PA) is around 40 or 50 hours....I don't recall which, I'd have to go back and look.

Well I finally got my orders to go to Aviation A school in North Carolina so Ill be making the long hual with a stop in Colorado to do some snowboarding. Then to GA for the Holidays. Havent been home for X-Mas for almost 3 years. And New Years was in Coasta Rica but cant complain about that :-D . Had a great time out here in the Northwest and was fortunate enough to get it. Mostly came out here because of the Subaru community and I am glad I got to meet some good people from the forum and made some friends. Ill miss this place but who knows I might be stationed in Oregon next or WA again. Hope everyone has a great time over the Holidays and Ill see ya when I see ya.

Tony

P.S. if your looking to get into the military dont hesitate to send me a P.M. and if we're in the same area give me a shout out.

Take care of yourself. Be safe. Chances are you will get stationed up here in the PNW again. Merry Christmas.

It was fun hanging out with you those few times. Good luck in your new endeavor. I'm sure you won't be able to wander too far from the LC.
