3rd Annual 48hrs of Tri-state Drive

Post by Paisan »

Hey guys,
I know you all love to drive, and love to hang. Well here is a whole weekend of driving and hanging. It's the 3rd Annual 48hrs of Tri-state driving tour. We will depart from Long Island on Jan 1 and treck up to Danbury, CT and then up to Albany. We'll sleep there and then do backroads across the southern Adirondacks to the Great Lakes and on to Niagara Falls Canada for a night of Gambling, Gaming, and other Vices!

We then travel through scenic central NYS down to Ithaca, and then down to Philadelphia. We will dine at Dave and Busters and visit some local sites in philly! Sunday we will catch a diner for breakfast and then head down to Deleware and over to Cape May, NJ. Then up the GSP toward Woodbridge where we will have our closing dinner! 1500 miles of backroads.

This will not only be fun, but we are asking people to collect donations for our charity, which this year is MADD. Last year we raised about $800 for the American Cancer Society and over $1000 For the WTC Victims in '02. If you can't come, we ask you donate or help get a business to sponsor our event with door prizes etc.

Wow, sounds like alot of driving. But it sounds like alot of fun too. Hmm, I wonder if I could pull it off, I would just need someone to watch the kids for a couple of days and the days off from work but I think I could do it.

I wonder tho? Going into Canada in January seems like a good chance of running into some serious snow, yes? I think I'll bring the Loyal.

78 BRAT (EJ22T comming)

I blow s@#t up.

First year we didn't hit much snow. Last year we hit a blizzard from Albany to Niagara Falls. We had to stop every hour to clear the 4"+ of ice covering the lights, grille etc. There were cars on the road overheating due to lack of cooling

The wife said it's sounds like a good idea, so all I have to do now is find a sitter for 4 days.

Wow! Ithaca!

I won't be able to go on the drive but hopefully I can join in the lunch in Ithaca.
