I'm in the same situation. I contacted a friend in New Zealand and got his local dealer info but haven't gotten around to ordering them yet.

I just used 96 dohc outback ones in my 97 jdm ej20g heads.

Yea, those work fine for the later years, but the heads are shaped different on the first couple years. I took mine in to my local dealer, who says he has messed around with JDM stuff for years, and he had never seen them before.

Damn dealer people lol I called them up the other day to see if they had a trans drain plug gasket because mine was leaking and I was going to change the fluid. Guy told me they had them in stock and that it was the same gasket as the oil pan drain plug. I was skeptical but I said ok. I already had a brand new oil pan plug gasket in my garage so I pulled the plug and it was like 50% larger in diameter than the oil pan. Should have known better.
