Hokay.. so basically heres the deal. I threw a JDM 96 STi RA tranny in my car awhile back. Love the center diff (30:70 when not connected to anything) but kinda hate the gearing (not the point of this post)...
I'm going to be making regular (weekly) trips up to Mt Hood for the next two months and would like to be able to lock it to 50:50 when I encounter semi deep snow/ice. 30:70 is great for dry and wet around Vancouver but not great for snow lol.
Anybody have any idea if its possible to make a simple on/off switch control the diff lock... basically just make it Full Lock/Full Unlock? (Idea being able to switch to full lock when I'm trying to trudge through somewhat deep snow ONLY)
I heard something about Paul Eklund doing something like that to one of his Rally STis but I wasnt sure if anyone here has any experience with DCCD.
(And yes Im aware that making it so the diff is fully locked while on pavement will eventually ruin the diff)

Re: DCCD Wiring Questions
If you can find a wiring diagram for the trans I could probably figure something out.
It's likely the same principle as what you do with the duty c solenoid in the AT's.

Re: DCCD Wiring Questions
I would check out the aftermarket DCCD controls offered.
They might give you an idea of how complicated it is.
