All right guys, so I'm back on the road after my accident with basically a clone of my old wagon, with a few minor differences. New one has 140k and is pretty mint compared to the old one, so I feel like I'm getting a fresh start. I'd just put a UEGO and a 16g on the old one, and it seemed to be running decently, if a bit rich, but I only had that setup for about 3 days before the accident so I never really got a chance to see what it was all about.
So now with this new car I'm wondering what I want to do...I don't know if it was the accident or what, but I'm kind of feeling like I would like to keep this build a bit more mild than I had planned for the old wagon. I'm thinking 200-225ish awhp would be nice, and it would be great if my fuel economy didn't go completely out the window. It already has K Sport coilovers, the Rotora BBK will go on it soon, but as for engine stuff I am still trying to figure out what to do. I just bought a set of 440 gray tops from a member on here and was planning on putting them in the old car before it got wrecked. But with the 16g alone, it was plenty fast for me, so do you guys think I even need to do injectors? I'm not completely sure how much boost it was running, but I think it was pretty mild, like 10 or something. I will be putting my old TMIC and 3" exhaust on it. Fuel pump is stock but do I even need to upgrade that for where I want to get?
As far as EM, I had a SAFC that the previous owner had installed. I've done a bunch of research on here about this and I guess I would have gone with a Revtronix chip, but since that's not an option, what should I use, if anything? I've read a bunch of stuff about the stock ECU being able to "learn around" the SAFC settings. It seemed to work OK in my car, but then again I had never messed with it so I don't know. I'm really clueless when it comes to tuning/electronics, so bear with me. If I want to run the 16g and run around 12 psi, do I HAVE to put the SAFC in? Or something else like an AEM F/IC, or can the stock ECU deal with it? Also running that kind of boost will I really need the 440s and a walbro 255? I'm not really trying to get too crazy with this, I just want something a little bit more fun than the stock setup.

I would definately be running the 440s with the TD05. As for engine management, do some research on the Robtune EJ20 ecu he does. Thats what i plan on using here soon. Its similar to the revtronix but has more potential in my opinion. As far as the fuel pumps go, i'm not sure what the stock one peaks at but i went with the walbro so there is plenty of room to grow power wise.

Also, i suggest a boost gauge to keep a closer eye on things.

Yep, already have a boost gauge installed. I don't really want to get into EM at this point though...Is it okay if I just run the TD05 at wastegate boost with the stock injectors until I can throw down for the robtuned ECU? I already have an AWIC and 3" exhaust.

You'll be fine running wastegate boost with the stock injectors. You can probably even run the stock boost levels the ECU will allow with the stock 370's. I ran this way for a while.

thanks. yeah probably just going to run wastegate boost then, with stock injectors and ECU until I can afford to get the rob tuned ECU
