93 Legacy L FWD M/T 5speed shifting problems.

my 93 legacy i bought about 2 years ago and it has around 98K Miles on it, it was really hard to shift then and i think its starting to get pretty bad. It does it in first, third, and fifth. (really bad in third)

i have a video some what showing the issue i'm having.

i plan on replacing the fluid with Mobil1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-90. in a few months when i get the money i might just replace the transmission, can i get a nice 6 speed? If so what one.

Does the shifter feel sloppy? Have you looked under the car to see if the shift linkage bushings are there? It's possible that the bushings are shot/gone and trying to get everything lined up to shift is difficult.

Or is the problem, it just won't go into gear?

well new trans fluid really helped a lot, but its still difficult. ill look into what you suggested legacy777. (although when i replaced the clutch a while back it looked fin, i didn't pay to much attention to it though.)

it will go into all the gears just fine, its just hard.

If you don't have much shifter slop and it's just difficult to get into gear, the problem is likely internal to the transmission. Unfortunately I really don't have a solution for you that doesn't involve tearing into the transmission. You can try different fluids. Some may help more than others, but it won't fix the problem completely.

and anyone got a hint on a 6 speed i can fit to an EJ22 N/A? also where can i get the turbo exhaust manifold, i plan on getting forget internals because i want to run around 10 PSI at least. (doing this in a few years, just want to get a list of parts now.)
