Injector bad?

Post by kleinkid »

Injector 440cc no. 3 cyl. apparently stopped working. It tested at no reading, the other three tested at 10.9. I'm guessing the injector is no good. Concur?

That kind soul in Thorp, WA is trading me some cash for another one.

Got a used replacement injector, sent it to WitchHunter performance to be refreshed. Had removed the air box and elbow for better access, so removed and cleaned spark plugs, and sprayed Seafom into vent hoses that had been removed. Put it all back together, runs great, did smoke some as the Seafoam burnt up crud. I think the bad injector had been sick for a while before it finally died.

Sweet. I just sea foamed my intake, oil and gas tank. Didn't notice any improvement but that's because it runs awesome already.

I think it can only be good if you can clean, burn, force out, crud, certainly can't hurt. Some say a little crud is what helps make a seal to prevent leaks. If that is the case, then what you really have is sealing problems.
