Coolant hoses and other various parts that fit

Post by xise »

So given the general nature of the SS there aren't a whole slew of "bolt on" solutions for us, so after a search here turned up nothing, I wanted to know what aftermarket silicone hoses are compatible with the OEM routing of the coolant hoses and other silicone replacement goodies we can use on an SS?

I know that the V1-2 WRX has the same intake routhing as us so we can use the JDM samco hoses for that, but what about the coolant and other engine hoses they offer....the motor looks the same at first glance minus them having the slanty tmic....just wondering if all the other hoses are the same, the radiator looks the same as well, but it is tough to tell unless you get them side by side to REALLY know for sure.

just hoping someone else knows from first hand experience, as the samco hoses are expensive and I don't want to waste money on speculation.

The 93-96 WRX intake plumbing upstream of the turbo is almost the same but not exactly the same. You can make the Samco hose work but you'll have to do some work with the PCV tubes.

The radiator hoses are identical. Not sure about the heater hoses, though; they might be different on RHD cars.

thanks for the info! I am sure it is easy enough to relocate the pcv, or replace ot with an aos or catch can.
