Are 22e pistons the same as 22t pistons?

Heads, valves, pistons, rods, crankshaft, etc...

Are 22e pistons the same as 22t pistons?

Post by hellosubaru »

I searched around a little, but couldn't find anything. Are EJ22e pistons the same as EJ22t pistons? If they aren't, can you use 22e pistons in a 22t?

Thanks,

They are not the same.

The EJ22t pistons are dished for lower compression and stronger cast than the EJ22E pistons.
The EJ22E pistons would make your EJ22t the same compression ratio as an EJ22E. This would be bad for boost.
