Need Help asap 92ss auto need to swap!!!

I have a 92 ss auto that my wife drives to work daily the 3rd and drive gear are out. can i use a 1995-1999 auto trans if i have a matching diff or do i need more than that like the TCU and wiring , blah blah. please help. i also have a 3.90 lsd,5 speed 3.90 trans with all interior parts linkage and clutch mast. so which would be easlier, better?

The turbo TCU's are different and I've heard of them not playing well with the non-turbo transmissions. It may work though.

If it were me I'd do the 5spd swap. You would have to use a phase 1 4EAT, since the phase 2 4EAT has different electrical plugs. The TCU is really the unknown piece in the equation.
