I moved your thread to the electrical forum.

I don't have any specific experience with the emanage blue, but I think a couple other board members may, so we'll see if they can chime in.

I used the more powerful Greddy emanage Ultimate on a Forester project. I had lots of trouble getting it tuned - by 2 different tuners, but may have had un-diagnosed engine issues, causing me grief.

I've also heard others I respect say they're hard to tune.

My suggestion is to make sure you have a tuner lined up or allow yourself a lot of time (and gas $$) to tune it yourself.

thanks for the input, I had found one on craigslist for pretty cheep. I have a 94ss 5mt with a wrx turbo, TMIC, and 3" TBE that needs some sort of tune quite badly and thought this may be a good route.

What makes them hard to tune? i am a serious noob when it comes to tuning.

I too am a noob to tuning.

I recommend "HIGHLY" the 'rob tuned' EJ20 ECU. Read up on here about it. You'll need bigger injectors, among other things, but by the time you learn to tune yourself or have a shop tune the Greddy you could be enjoying the Rob Tune for the same $$.

Here's my POST on the EJ20G ECU.
