Looking for a driver's side rear quarter panel window trim

Post by Legacy777 »

I'm looking for that bent triangular shaped trim piece around the rear quarter panel window on the sedan. I have two, but both are missing the particular clips to hold them on. There is a spot where a bolt is screwed in, and there is a little metal clip as well. One of the trim pieces I have is missing the threaded boss, while the other is missing the metal clip.

So was just wondering if anyone has one they are willing to sell that has both the threaded boss and metal clip still intact.

Thanks
Josh

I think it's almost impossible to remove these with out destroying or at least breaking some or most of the clips. From what I've seen the "secret" of auto glass guys is window glue. They just lay a bead down and push the trim into it, let it set up and you're good to go again.

Not the most elegant way, but it is effective.

That's why they break. Asshole glass guys glueing them in along with the clips so they break when you try to remove them. I need the same drivers side trim. I didn't know it had a screw holding it on from the inside and I broke mine pulling it off so now it flaps in the wind.

Thanks guys. I eventually want to pull all the black trim off and paint it, so if I can get one that is physically in good shape I can deal with painting later. If I can't find any, I suppose the glue method works.
