harmonic balancer interchangeability

Post by 93Leg-c »

Does anyone know if the stock harmonic balancer on my '94 TW is interchangeable with any from the newer engines? If so, which ones are an exact fit? The rubber on mine actually started smoking so I need a replacement. Thanks!

I know that the 02 wrx engine I have has an identical looking one to my SS, as are the ones I got off my ej25d engines. My guess is it's a pretty standard part.

Yeah, they're pretty much the same. Some of the new newer subarus have a slightly different design balancer/pulley, but it should still work.

+1 more. Some look a bit different, but every one I have ever seen has been functionally the same. (diameter, ribs/grooves/etc.)
