FS: Early STI Yellow 480cc Injectors

Post by James614 »

I got these with the intention of using them with a robtune, and I found out I can't so I need to offload these and get some 440's. They are the same shape and fit as 440cc grays, and look to be in pretty good condition, although I never installed them on my car. They have all the o-rings.

These would work best for someone doing their own tuning via piggyback or standalone, or if you just happen to have an STI EJ20G/K that needs injectors.

Pics and price to come later.

So these ones will fit into the n/a rails like the grey top 440s, correct. May be interested.

Will these ones work well with a pp6? Im just trying to figure out which injectors will work good with that piggyback.

Whoa now... If these can be modded to 520cc, then I can use Rob's 550 tune (525cc actual) and I wopuldnt need gray-tops...

Still officially for sale until I can verify that.

I have some 440cc gray-tops on the way and won't be touching the yellows, so these definitely need to go.

Bump, still available. I know plenty of you are running standalone/piggyback systems and would rather not swap fuel rails!

Bump. Got everything I need for my robtune now. Just need to offload these injectors. Make me an offer! If you've got a piggyback/standalone these will give you more headroom than 440s and install much easier than 520s!

Bump. Surprised that I sold a year-old air filter with mud stains in like 2 days, but nobody wants a set of direct-fit STI injectors. Make me an offer!

Bumpity bump bump. Not taking $50. I want to sell these but I'm not desperate. I understand these aren't as desirable as 440s since rob has no tune for them, but they're still a set of STI injectors that will support well over 300hp.

If I have a stock ej22t with a td04, soon to have a td05. Will these fit in my stock turbo rails? And I was thinking of running a fcd with an upgraded fuel pump. Thoughts ppl!

So what I was wondering is, if im not going rob tune yet. Would these help out with a fcd and increasing boost to 15-16 psi with a upgraded fuel pump?

Unfortuneately, no. To run these you NEED some sort of EM. A robtune won't work (he never made a 480cc fuel map and doesnt have time to do so). A piggy back such as the AEM FIC, Greddy eManage, or PP6 will work. Any standalone (Power FC, Link, Autronic, Megasquirt, etc) will work.

What you're talking about with the FPR and FCD are tricks to squeeze more fuel and boost out of stock injectors on the stock ECU.

Do you have one of the ems for sale as well? If not, where can I get one?

I do not, otherwise I'd use these myself ;-)

A piggyback system costs about as much as a robtune. If you're thinking of going that route, just get the grey injectors, a '95+ EJ22 MAF, and get the robtune. Skip the FPR and FCD, as those things are a bandaid solution and you can run a TD04 at 10psi just fine on a stock setup and be confident it won't do anything crazy. Your time and effort are best spent towards your actual goal, try not to bother with interim solutions that won't be aof ny use on your finished product.
