4eat transmission problems?

Post by U_Got_Scoobed »

Hi everyone, I had some questions first off my 92 legacy just stopped moving and its making a weird noise and no go. Fluid levels are good and clean, connections are all plugged in and the noise sounds like its coming from the front of the tranny but only happenes when you rev it up. If someone can help me out just had it replaced about a year and a half ago no warranty:eek:

The very first thing to do is check to make sure the torque converter is still attached to the flex plate, that is look and see if the bolts are there. Next thing to do is a pressure check, to make sure the pump is working.

Welcome to the BBS.

There is an access hole on the back of the bell housing. There is a plug in it, you can remove it and check to see that the torque converter and flex plate are still connected.

Check to see if the front CV axles or rear driveshaft spin when you give it gas. Sometimes a hub will strip or an axle will break and could theoretically cause this problem.
