If my car turned into a girl for a day she'd be too rich for my blood and I couldnt afford the things she wants.

I have to go on record here and say that I had NEVER imagined in my wildest dream that my deep feelings of anguish and loneliness would turn into a thread of progressively posting Sir Mix-A-Lot lyrics!!!

Hey man, its all good. Ya know ever since i joined this board, you have come across as the nice guy of the bunch(not that everybody else isnt cool too). The world needs more nice people. I have definitely had my down times in life too, probably more than most. I just try to live by the motto that life is a lot more fun if you dont take it too seriously. Unfortunately, i think this has led to the fact that not a lot of people take me seriously either :( . Yeah i am single, and have been for an embarassingly long time, i dont remember what its like to have a girlfriend.... wow this post turned depressing. Anyway, power through it, things allways get better, at least i hope so :? .

And hey, you are lucky to live in florida, its nice weather and Mad Caddies are playing there next month, its impossible to be unhappy after a Caddies concert. Should be hot girls there too. I highly recommend you go.

I try to be this way as much as possible. My reasoning is: you accomplish absolutely NOTHING by being a jerk, you only piss people off. So I figure, if it does you no good and only hurts you in the long run, why do it?

Sure I have people that I don't get along with, simply because we have different views on life. But none of those people will say I'm a jerk. I'm still as nice as possible to them...

I think this is part of my problem with women: I'm too nice. It seems now if I was a complete asshole and treated them like crap, they'd be all over me because I'm a "tough guy." But I'm not like that, and so my search for a woman who appreciates me for who I am gets more difficult... Plus the fact that I'm into the rock music scene and couldn't care less about the club scene probably doesn't help either :(

I know what you're saying - it seems women are only interested in closet cases, losers who leach off them and are perpetually out of work because 'the world is out to get them', or self-absorbed a$$hole musclemen who beat on them. Me, I'm the wrong kind of a$$hole - I'm only a dick to those who ask for it and I'm stupid - I treat women I like with respect.

I know the reason most of you have this bad feeling about women.

Out of the total population there are a certain percentage of good ones and a certain percentage of bad ones.

Once somoene gets a good one there is no reason to switch so they are effectively removed from the pool of available women.

What ends up happening slowly is the good ones are taken while the bad ones keep getting passed around. One girl can give 20 guys the bad impression.

You chances of meeting bad ones are very high, so you end up meeting many in a row. This warps your perception into feeling that all of them are bad (they must be, you've never had a good one).

I know it sucks but dont give up. The higher number of women you have tried the greater chance you have to find a good one.

Try finding a semi-normal woman that likes electronic music (at least the kind I like) yet still has a decent grasp on reality and other activities.....

That's really my problem.....I have just a way too large interest/activity base......the chances of finding someone that likes all the stuff I do, or even half is not too likely.

But there are plenty of girls into punk rock. If you don't mind me saying so, LegacyPunk, punk rock is a more accepted type of rock than what I listen to. I have every Disturbed CD, every KoRn CD (xept the new one), Static-X, Godsmack, Sevendust, etc. etc.

Most people think I'm Satanic or something

And girls that get in my car try to say nicely, "I'm not really into that stuff" when I know they mean "TURN THAT %^$& OFF!!"

Recently, I've tried to expand my horizons a bit, I do have a couple hip-hop songs on my puter, and I've actually been on an 80's fix lately 8), but the fact of the matter is, my music tastes definitely aren't in line with the rest of the world.

Oh, and Laurel, that is getting used at work today

suby, dont let women control your music, esp if they favor some crappy pop over what you like. I used to listen to, and do still have, those cd's you listed, except for disturbed, so I know how people dont like that stuff.

what are you talking about? all that is very mainstream, and thus quite excepted. much more so than real punk is these days, and by real i am excluding all the boy bands disguised as punk bands, like new found glory, good charlotte, etc.

At least you didnt mention linkin park

Anybody on here listen to Ska?

Just the Mighty Mighty Bosstones (well until they became popular and no longer enjoyed their shows). They were great until the I-know-the-radio-song kids showed up and they'd end up starting a fight with some jackasses in the audience for groping a girl (I was on their side for that, but the point is that those people should never have been there).

I used to listen to mostly industrial metal (women don't actually hate all of it!), but now its so varied I'm not even sure what to call it. Most stuff people wouldn't know.

Hey! Linkin Park is an awesome band. I was a big fan before they even got big :D

No worries, to each his own :)

I know most of my music is mainstream, but nevertheless, few girls like it. I have learned to take the phrase "I listen to anything..." with a grain of salt. Most people that say that really only like one type... pop

Not into ska, just not my type o' music...
