Anyone have a picture of the clear corners for a 91 turbo?

Headlights to tailights and everything in between.

You know, those JDM ones. I remember seeing someone had them. LegacyT, I think.

Thanks!

Those cars are the same as 92-94 US models, and the lights look nearly identical to 92-94 USDM lghts. boostjunkie's talking about the earlier style, before the facelift.

Thanks Legacy777 and totech. Those were the ones I was looking for.

Another question about the usdm legacies, 90-91. I noticed that Legacy777's car has semi-cleared corners while mine has completely orange corners (YUCK!!). Is this just a difference between the two model years?

I feel slighted if it is.

i don't know why you have orange ones.....I don't think the US models EVER got those. I have a funny feeling adam put them on there.

You can go buy some new US spec ones like I have for like 30 bucks. They'd look much better IMO.

I was debating on going with the JDM side markers, but really just don't like the massive amount orange in there. So I kept the US spec ones. If I get ambitious, I could play with adding a second light in there, and making that larger one blink.....but for now it's fine.

I have my other lighting project to focus on when the parts get here ;)

The JDM ones have turn signals in them, and the appropriate optics for a turn signal. Making USDM 90-91 corners blink is a help but they're still not designed to be turn signals.

I think the orange in JDM lights is just reflections of the bulb itself, so JDM corner lights with Philips SilverVision bulbs would be ideal.

JDM ones have an orange cover over the entire reflector section, then clear plastic over that. The rear turn signals are similar to this on the 90-91 legacies. There's no way an orange bulb or even a small orange bubble thing around the bulb would produce that much orange.

Oh.

Hmm... maybe you could pop the JDM light open and remove the orange lens (assuming it's not active in the optics).

It probably is active in the optics. If you look closely at the pic totech posted, you can see the vertical slats on the outside clear lense, then if you look closely at the orange part, you see little squares that help disperse the light.

The turn signals on my car are the exact same way on the inside. They have the little rectangular shaped triangles. They basically look like pyramids.

Hey boostjunkie,

Yup, I have clear 91 corner lenses but their modified north american spec's, not actual oversea's spec ones.

Well it looks like I'll be checkin out the local pick-apart yard for a set of 90 legacy corner lamps. Who's bright idea was it to use all orange? Especially on a white car. YUCK!

Aren't your corner lamps turn signals, though? Maybe Adam got some lamps that have the correct optics to work as turn signals. Aesthetics aside, that would be better than relying on the 1990-1991 parking lights to function as turn signals.

The turn signals on the 91 turbo legacy are in the bumper, just like the 90-91 n/a legacies. They are just clear and have an orange bulb in them, rather then having an orange lens.

So unless adam moved them....he should be good.
