FS: 1993 Subaru Legacy EJ22T Long Block Complete

Post by SubaruWRC »

Fully closed-deck block, forged rods and crank, piston squirters, etc. Complete running engine.

I removed this complete engine from my 1993 Subaru Legacy Sport 5MT in order to custom build it for use in my Impreza GC. I have since changed my build plans and will not be using this engine and the Legacy chassis has already been sold.

Nothing wrong with engine, was running perfectly with no leaks prior to removal. Approximately ~150K miles on the engine. Currently on a pallet in my garage.

Would like to get ~$650 for engine + shipping. Please let me know. Thanks.

If for some reason the attached images are not loading, I have plenty of pictures, just ask.

The chassis that this engine came out of was originally listed for sale at http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=41019

His profile says he is in Richland, Washington. Washington state. Richland is commonly referred to as being in the Tri Cities Area. South east part of the state.

Thanks Kleinkid, for some reason I did not receive an email that anyone posted a reply.

Yes, we used to live in WI, then VA and WA. And yes, the EJ22T was shipped all the way across the US...twice...I've paid more to have it shipped around when we move than I can apparently sell it for.

Bump, btw. I've gotten a few low offers, unfortunately...all of the other offers fell through (people apparently just disappear once they PM you). Since it is starting to snow in the mountains, I may have to pull the trigger on this. Either I sell it or wait until spring and try again.

I am in WA state. No, I do not have the ECU or wiring harness. Like I mentioned, I intended to use the block for a custom engine build, but have since changed my build plans. The custom build is not using an OBD-I ECU or wiring harness, but if you are planning to use the complete engine as-is, you would need to source a Legacy Turbo Sport ECU and harness...I'm guessing you can find them pretty reasonably priced.

did the 22t have stock forged rods and crank or are they after market? are you willing to negotiate on price at all or are you at 650 firm...

They were stock forged. The only components that were stock cast were the pistons.

Please PM me for any price negotiations. Thanks!
