93 Turbo auto no reverse.

anyone have any luck getting a gear back once the transmission won't find it any more? looking at buying another Turbo car with no reverse. it won't even try and catch. have a Subaru mechanic friend tell me I can try to tighten the bands by using the adjustment bolts on the outside of the case near the starter.

Adjusting the brake bands won't fix that problem. That tranny needs a rebuild.

not a huge issue I already had plans on swapping it just wanted to see if there was some sort of did temporarily before then

Don't park anywhere you will need to back up.
