So Canada and the US got the EJ22T, what did Mexico Get??

Post by LegacyT »

This thought struck my mind today. We all know the Canadian and US Legacy Turbos down to every nut and bolt. But does anyone know what mexico got? Did they even have first gen legacy's down there? Did they have a turbo option? Was it the EJ22T package, or the EJ20G? What about central and South America? Just a few questions I've been pondering about.

They may have a dealer or two, but I don't think there's a Subaru of Mexico or anything. They're not luxury enough for the rich and they're too expensive for the poor (they just stopped selling the original Beetle there). Also, AWD is a lot less necessary in that climate.
