What should I get?

Post by 91White-T »

My car will be turning over to 200,000 miles soon, and I want to do something for it to celebrate. Help me out.

I voted new wheels so you can later get bigger brakes. :)

I voted suspension upgrade because once your car handles better, that's the best time to add more power! :D

I voted suspension upgrade... You already have a turbo and 160 hp. I would kill just for that right now  You'll do the most effective upgrade by making it handle better...

I voted for the 3" exhaust. Mine made a HUGE difference. Besides my Saab 900 i/c it probably made the biggest difference. It's also a neccesary upgrade before the bigger turbo IMO.

New wheels really would make the car stand out though and you can never go wrong with suspension upgrades.

would you just be replacing the wheels with different ones of the same size, or would you be plus sizing and getting better wheels and tires?

i think the big aluminum wing is the most important feature on a higher-milege import car. You rarely see them on newer cars, the wing is a badge of honor only aged, decrepit vehicles can proudly wear.

No, I'd want to get bigger, but 17's at most.

Lets forget about the wing OK? The question should really be what do you want to get ready to do next?

Bigger wheels make room for bigger brakes.

Bigger exaust makes room for more boost.

New turbo and intercooler make room for EMS. Or is that the other way around?

A big aluminum wing make room for insults.

I guess you can't go wrong with a nice suspension set up thoe?

Suspension it is!

I smiled everytime I got into my car for about 2 weeks after i got it. then it made me smile every once in a while.... after putting a full 3" exhaust on... I smile everytime i turn the key, everytime i feel like punching it, everytime i hit the gas and my boost gauge goes instantly to positive pressure.

i smile everytime i get into the car and it's been over a month since i installed the exhaust. if the suspension isn't broke or mushy... it's good enough for me. the turbo suspension wasn't that bad (once you get used to the body roll... which doesn't affect the amount of grip).

you want... EXHAUST, you will never truly appreciate your engine until you do. i am smiling just thinking about my exhaust right now.
