Ron tune/afc neo problem, help?

Post by mdaworth »

Okay so I have a 95 legy with an ss swap

with a Rob tune I just got done switching from an STI build to a full rotated holset hx35 frontmout ej22t the works, and I'm running lean with the STI 550cc injectors (obviously) the afr's are good to about 18psI (afr's are 12-13), anyways I had an apexi afc neo I bought a while ago and I figured i might as well put it in so I can get more from the injectors till I go bigger. But the issue is I can't calibrate the voltage/tps sensor I've tried it about 20 times I've messed with this thing for at least 2 1/2+ hours and i can't get the voltage to stop working in reverse on the afc, I've been online all day trying to find some info to help and nothing, so I'm giving this a shot. Idk if the Rob tune is messing with it in anyway but any help would be awesome.

those injectors are way too small for 18psi on a holset. i wouldnt run more then 10-12psi. you need at least 750cc. its not the tune thats the problem, the injectors are maxing out. afr's in the 12's-13's is way too lean. mid 11's is where you want to be. turn down the boost and get bigger injectors before you blow your motor.

I know it's to lean, the real problem is the afc/rob tune why isn't the afc neo working could it be interfering with each other?

I would fix your injector problem before you tackle the AFC issue. You can't monkey with something that is maxed out.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Welcome to the BBS.

Are you asking why the voltage is reversed for the TPS, i.e. around 4.76 V when closed and 2 V or so when open? If so, the reason is because that's the way it's supposed to be. The older TPS's are setup that way.
