Jeez, Kimo. I know Tenino is back-woods, but damn, that's roughing it.

Tell me about it. I grew up pissin outside, that ain't no thang but a chicken wing. Just sucks when you gotta drop the kids off at the pool and the pool is locked up tighter than a nun's cunt and when you gotta go it seems like its miles away.

Man, that's a tough question. Spreading it out over that large of an area would be difficult. I'd have to drink a lot of beer daily and not go anywhere so every drop of urine was spread evenly over a patch of grass that size. But probably a month.

And mike is never welcome back at alphius' house again. Was that his wife in that pic? She's probably thrilled.

Fiance. She's not too mad. :P After all it's a rental house, so no biggie.
According to her Mike is still welcome, expecially if he brings his daughter over again. :D

Finally had some time to work on my SS.

When I put on the ej25d fuel rails (only needed for a dohc manifold) with the STI yellowtop's installed, both sides ended up leaking (at the rubber seal that sits in the manifold). I was able to loosen the bolts and 'tap' them into place. One side has staid leek free, but the other (yes, Alphius, my side :(), started hissing again. Ordered some 2x new seals (@ $9 apiece!), and will pickup on tuesday. Rails are snug and not leaking for now.

Secondly, I finally found some time to swap in the new cam wire. I had a really hard time finding a tool small enough to depin the ECU connectors. What finally worked was a 1/32nd " (part # 41636) flathead I got at Sears. Took me literally a minute to do most of the plug, lol. Heading out to the car to install it...

Well both the new cam and crank sensor wires checked out, so I installed them. Took her for a test drive. And...She certainly drives better, as in I could only get a spark cut once. But the problem still remains. Around 5k rpm under full load, my car doesn't accelerate (nor do the revs go up) until I back off the throttle a bit.

One thing I've been meaning to do, but forgot, is install the walbro 255 pump. It would kill me if that solved it, lol.

Get on that Mike, it's an easy install. ;)
Does the tach still drop out to 0 when it has it's little problem?
Did you ever get that wideband installed yet?

Tach drops to 0 only on spark cut event, which is apparently a separate problem from the hesitation. Wideband, not yet. I guess I could install the wideband and fuel pump tonight.

I could get it to spark cut today, just be going 50, slam it in to 2nd, step on it and instant cut! Or rather the tach bounces between 0 and 4.5-5k rpms and car surges forward. Keeps doing that till I let of the throttle a little.

Didn't replace the fuel pump yet. I did replace the fuel rail seals on the driver side.

The intake manifold I have is a legacy ej20g model, and it's fuel rails had those little manifold-to-rail spacers. When I put my ej25d rail/535cc injectors in there, I reuse the spacers, and I believe that was part of why swapping rails was such a PIA and then they leaked. Yesterday I took a look at a stock ej25d manifold, and sure enough no spacers, so I removed mine.

Fuel leak is gone, but the stumbling problem remains. I'm waiting till my gas tank is nearly empty before I swap the pump.

Plugged in the wideband o2 sensor and controller, I need to find a permanent spot for both its gauge and the Boost gauge.

Borrowed Florin's Robtune to see if it makes my IAC code go away. I'll put it in after work. Also replaced the SPT pitch stopper with a stock composite one from a 2nd gen legacy.

I tried to make the original metal one work, but after struggling for a bit with long screw drivers and a pry bar and destroying the threads on two bolts, I found that the bolt spacing is approx 1/4"-1/2" further apart than SPT and my 2nd gen stopper.

Plastic one fit perfectly without any prying. Much less NVH!

What tmic inlet pipe is that? Or where do I get the parts to make one. I'd love to block off the stupid BPV port on the TMIC and run it like this.

I think you're right :) thanks! I wonder how this would fit a WRX slanty with the plastic inlet pipe... More likely this is a replacement for the STI slanty with it's aluminum pipe.
