DP problems....

So i have gone through 2 downpipes, and have had the same problem.... hits the dam trans x member. Who here is running what and had 0 fitment issues?

What engine & trans mounts are you running? When I ran the STi hardeneded trans mount I noticed it raised the trans up slightly and I had to bend the trans mount a little bit to get the fitment I needed.

IIRC, factory downpipes are slightly different between 5-speeds and automatics. I don't know how 3rd party downpipes are designed, but I can see the possibility of interference or mismatch.

HKS catless flat flange DP for the bug eye WRX fits perfectly. Though I'd go with the invidia if I had the chance, which many on here are using.

I was running the turbo xs 4inch donkey d#*% and it never rubbed.
90 legacy Wagon LS Special, JDM closed deck 20g, custom 25d heads f/ metic motors, APS GC FMIC, 740cc, VF34, 4.11 F/D, Turboxs RFL blow off valve, now with piggyback.

I am running the EJ22T w/ 5spd. I do have a group n mount just waiting to get my car back. I have heard that the HKS DP works well but now that i have confirmation i think thats how im going to go.

I have a Megan Bellmouth with a 5MT, it hit. I took a torch to the bend, heated it up and reeved down on it. All good !

I have a CNT Racing (ebay) meant for a 05 Legacy GT and it fit perfect with no issues. Has been a great downpipe for 3 years now.

Random no name cheap eBay 02-07 bellmouth worked perfect for me. I have a 4" TurboXS on right now and it's fine as well.

there is a guy with my local subi club, and hes selling a V3 for 250? seems kinda steep or am i wrong?
