Lack of power? Put a small-block chevy in it. Guys been doing it since the '50s.
Personally, I can't wait to see a FTBR-86Z setup for rallycross.

There was a "GT-86" at Olympus/Nameless rally this weekend. It was Nameless's car, on its shakedown cruise, and it suffered every teething problem in the book!
