junk lightbar, really cool switch

I seen a thread on nasioc about unique modifications so I posted this one.

Anybody ever driven an old ford van or truck? Remember the high beam on the floor switch? They still make them eh

I had three options for my light bar switch
1-splice into lowbeams
2-splice into highbeams
3-a toggle switch

I wanted a low draw so I went with a toggle so I could run my light bar with only my daytime running lights on and my park lights. Problem is when you gotta switch them off quick a little toggle switch is a pain in the ass.

Some guy on nasioc said he wanted to see a video so I found an app and made a youtube vid to give people an idea if they never seen the switch before! so pumped!

Nice, easy solution.
But why would you ever need to run with the aux lights on and the headlights off? I, for example, run my aux lights on a toggle switch powered from the high beam circuit so that they turn on only when the high beams are on. Such that even with the toggle switch on, the aux lights turn off with the high beams.

k it's hard to explain but I live in the northern part of BC. I do alot of fishing at night in the winter pretty far out. That's the only time I use the lights. You can't even tell the headlights are on with the aux on so there's no point in running them. If it is a busier road i'll keep the lowbeams on but most of the time the only traffic I see is logging trucks. With those guys I don't screw around I just pull over and coast, they can see the aux from way far away and the daytimes when coming up on me. The foot switch comes in handy to turn off the lights quick if I'm looking for oncoming headlights.

I shouldn't bother trying to explain. If your in the situation it's a really nice mod.
