Had this listed in Ontario.

It's the same grey color as mine, only one pic...
Didn't look any different to how mine looks.

I paid 3200$ for mine. does 20,000kms make a 4800$ difference?

Nuts I say.

if its in the condition it appears to be (but I hardly believeit is, since its in Ontario) then yes I'd pay that much for it. Over in BC/Alberta where theres no salt these cars go for about that much. Its Incredible what salt does to cars. Over on the west coast open the hood of a 15 year old car and all the bolts are shiney, piping has original factory primer on it, aluminum is powder free, etc. Same goes under the car and inside the chassis-immaculate. Hence I plan on spending about 8000 on a mint legacy turbo when I go to bc next summer.

Man, the description you gave of under the hood gave me a woody....

I can't even imagine not seeing rust in the hood of a car 5+ years old.

Ya growing up in Oregon almost everybodys first car was an old VW bug, gia, square back, fast back, bus and sometimes even a notch back  (uber rare in the lower 48) then I move out east and they are super rare because they all rusted out years ago  . You don't see nearly as many old subys out here either. I f**king HATE salt. I miss the sand.... man.

New England uses a mix of sand and salt. Detroit's the worst - just salt. Kills the roads and the cars. Its not uncommon to see cars abandoned in the middle of a street or off the highway with a wheel broken off underneath it.

Laurel - take care of that rust as best you can if you plan on having the car a while as rust there can be nasty if it gets to the point where you need to have the rear window removed to fix it. Luckily these cars don't have emergency rust issues like the old Subarus.

She's already on it.

Helped her remove a pristine hatch from another wagon at her local Pull-a-Part about two months ago. :P
