One piece driveshaft

Post by 03bug »

Is anyone running a custom one piece driveshaft? I am thinking about going this rout if I can't find a used replacement within a couple days. I am trying to get my car ready for the big nw meet and I need a driveshaft. Also can I pull apart the 2 piece driveshaft on my 91ss? I need to replace the rear section due to a bad u joint but I can't find a 5mt shaft.

The rear section of all the 91-94 legacy driveshafts are the same. The front section on the 2-piece units are the only thing that is different. As long as you find a rear section from a 2-piece 90-94 Legacy (turbo, non-turbo, MT, or AT) it'll work.

I replaced the rear u joint on mine. They do make replacements but are hard to get the parts guy to find them. I can dig in my pile of receipts an find a part# if you need it.
