I just had fuse 14 blow in the RS-RA
Only problem before this was the IAC, but it was working ok after cleaning just 5 days ago.
Put in a new fuse 14 10A and cannot read the codes.
New fuse didn't blow yet and the car was running, revving pretty high like before the IAC was cleaned.
Hoping the ecu is not the cause.
Ever had fuse 14 blow?

Re: Ever had fuse 14 blow?
Kevin,
If the wiring is the same between the US and RS-RA legacy, fuse 14 only provides backup power to the ECU when the ignition switch is turned off so that the ECU retains its memory. If this fuse is blowing there is too much current flowing through the circuit and there could be a short in the wiring or in the ECU.
Does the fuse blow right away or does it take a little while to blow?

Re: Ever had fuse 14 blow?
its blowing almost right away if the car is off.
tried checking it today its just that memory circuit, car drives fine etc..
i'm getting close to the end of the season and my mileage limit too.
i'll go through the ecu out of the car when its parked for winter

Re: Ever had fuse 14 blow?
Try this, with the fuse pulled out check which side of the fuse holder has power. The side that does not have power, use a multimeter to check for continuity between it and ground. If there is continuity, next disconnect the ECU plug and recheck for continuity. If you had continuity between ground with the plug in and then didn't have continuity with the plug out, then the issue is some where in the ECU.

Re: Ever had fuse 14 blow?
I would suspect chaffed wiring against the ground in wiring path that is used when the car is off.
Inspect the fuses you've gone through in bright light.
If it looks like it just melted gracefully, its a moderate overload.
If you see shiny dark film/deposit inside the fuse around where it melted, this is usually a result of direct short, like a chaffed wiring against chassis at fire wall.

Re: Ever had fuse 14 blow?
in the fall I'll start looking for it. this car is really in mint shape and its never been modified so I'm thinking the same thing its damaged wiring. Fwiw the car runs and drives great just need a good working IAC
