Yes I did get the hub back on and its running a lot quieter now and way less vibrations in the car.

I would make some changes to the procedure if you have ABS though.

I don't believe there is any way to get the brake shield off with out pressing out the hub first.
Having to run back and forth to my grandpa's shop threw me off a bit.
I had to go back an disassemble it a 3rd time to get the brake shield on.
Issue is the ABS sensor ring that bolts to the inside of the hub doesn't allow the room to remove the shield.
So make sure the brake shield is on before you press the hub back in, and if you took off the ABS sensor ring, make sure its reinstalled too.

As an update on Timken Bearing Seals for our cars, I needed to replace a bearing on my parents legacy and was in a pinch. I noticed that Timken had a new part number for the seals. I ordered them and I am happy to report that they are the exact same design as the OE seal.

So, this thread goes from "dont buy timken seals! Get skf" to "skf sucks too" to "Timken is alright". I should have just got Subaru seals, but the dealer is soooooo slow! Hopefully these skf seals I got arent garbage.

This thread does span several years.....I haven't re-read it, but Timken & SKF are big bearing companies....so a lot of the stuff out there is probably one of theirs, just rebranded.
