N/A custom exhaust

Post by vypa »

someone correct me if im wrong on this... but for a n/a 2.2 custom exhuast i would probably be better off with a 2.5" setup right? wouldnt i lose too much low end with say a 3" setup?

Oh yeah....most definitely. I wouldn't go over 2.25" with the 2.2 n/a

You could probably get a 2.5 exhaust to fit with minor changes.

i agree with a 2.5 line but if you ever do upgrade anything with the turbo or the air intake or intercooler you should really go to a 3 which is optimal for a turbo.

In my N/A EJ20, I have a 3 inch from the 2 into 1 collectors, long quite skinny 2 into 1 header pipes to make up for the lost torque, two 18 inch hot dog resonators and huge borla race muffler at the end.

Car runs fine, now has more torque and power low down and top end.
