Interior Carpet
Hey again this has become real useful. Basically picked up this car and got it running as of today. The issue was where it was parked it flooded and got into interior. The car mechanically runs great now. However it just soaked the carpet and underneath as far as I can tell. I got the seats and carpet pulled out already what steps should I take to cleaning the bare bottom inside of the car, looking to see what is recommended. Thanks again

Re: Interior Carpet
What exactly do you need to clean up? Is there rust? Just muddy crap? Simply Green works really well and doesn't have too horrible of a smell. For tougher crud, Super Clean works wonders but it's pretty potent and you have to soak it up with water quickly, also use gloves.

Re: Interior Carpet
Just want to take precautious steps ahead of time. No mud or rust that i can see. Just figured clean it and do it ahead of time. Then try to save the carpet somehow and get rid of smell.

Re: Interior Carpet
I wanna say kimo took his carpet out and sprayed it down with some sort of cleaner and the pressure washed it and let it air dry. Seems like he got good results.

Re: Interior Carpet
I would suggest using some sort of biocide type product to kill any mildew or mold inside the cabin once you've cleaned any gunk out. I don't have a specific recommendation, so you may want to search online or your local parts store.
Depending on how bad the carpet is, you may want to see if you can find a donor or junk yard car to take the carpet from.
