Codes 24/33

So I see in the code chart that there might be a relation between error code 24 for the air control valve and error code 33 which is vehicle speed sensor. Could error code 33 set error code 24 since the air control valve control input is vehicle speed. 2 questions a how does the computer get the vss signal to the ecu. The next question is I have a 2.5 rs trans I have tried to hook up the new speedo cable but im having a issue where it still not working im guessing the cable internally might be to short any solutions to that issue

I don't believe there is any correlation between the idle air control valve and the speed sensor. The ECU may raise the idle if it doesn't get a speed signal, but that's about all I can think of.

The ECU get's the speed signal from the reed switch in the gauge cluster. The reed switch in the gauge cluster is the VSS.

Is the 2.5 RS a manual trans? Are you having trouble getting the cable to reach or is there some other issue?

I do have a 2.5 rs manual trans in a car that was a automatic. The cable does reach and can be screwed in it seems like the internal part of the cable that connects the speedo and trans im guessing is to short and is not engauging the speedo in the cluster
