Side mirrors, power locks and sunroof problems

Post by Benelululu »

Hi guys so I bought a 93 Legacy SS back in May of 2013 from a family who pretty much abused the crap out of it. Apparently the family's son drove it until one day it got a rod knock and that's when I bought. None of its power options work: the locks, side mirrors, or sunroof. I've been able to fix the other problems with the power like the windows and seat belts but the locks, mirrors and sunroof don't work.

When I push the button to open the sunroof nothing happens, no sound of the motor or anything, just quite.

The locks were replaced by the owner before and since then the power locks don't work.

When I try to adjust the side mirrors they don't move.

I really want to fix this poor thing up, I wish some of you could of seen how it looked before I fixed it up. (Ex. No fuel filter, dead fuel pump, BENT connect rod  , Oil everywhere in the bay, about 2 in of oil residue on the block and heads, burnt clutch, a broken manual boost controller, missing sensors and sooooo much more)

I know it may seem kind of simple, but have you checked to see if all the fuses are good?

Additionally, there is an allen wrench handle in the lid of the center console. This is used to manually crank the seat belts and sunroof. Try and see if the sunroof opens manually or not. If the fuses are all good and it still doesn't work, this may tell you whether the motor is seized or not.

Hmmmm I'll double check the fuses again, I did check them before I started my car a few weeks back but it could be that some of them could of blown. I'll also try hand cranking the sunroof to see if its seized.

Thanks.
