Removing Paint

Post by Benelululu »

Hi guys so I have a 93 Legacy SS I bought a while ago from a family that abused the crap out of it until it got a rod knock..

Anyway when they had they car they painted it a dark navy blue which isn't bad but is starting to peel in some places, but apparently when they go it painted they didn't remove the clear coat or base paint! Is there a way to remove the current paint just enough to the clear coat of the old paint?

Agh...I hate how they painted it, along with other things they did to this car, but getting back to the OEM color would be awesome if possible.

BTW the OEM color is WineStone which I really love.

You can try using brake cleaner or another type of paint solvent.
