Rear axle compatibilty?

Both my rear axles are shot, and last night I believe one blew bad, so what rear axles can I use? Autozone said I have to wait till tuesday to get one, can I use one from a diffrent Subaru? Please lmk ASAP! Thank you!

What year? Is it a LSD rear end? If its 90-94 non LSD w/male stubs coming out of the rear end then any 90-94 legacy axels will work. Personally I would find some used ones as they don't go out very often. Also are your boots ripped and how did they go out? Just curious because all my cars have the oem rear shafts and have not had a single failure and I have a lot of miles on all of mine.

The Boots are torn and have been since I bought the car, I believe since they ran out of grease they failed and the bearings broke

Even the LSD rears take the same axles as non-LSD, so as rallyak said, any 90-94 legacy with AWD.
