Go-Karts

Post by THAWA »

My friend and I have been contemplating building a little go-kart just for fun times, but haven't really got into it so much. Does anybody kart? Or know much about karting? i.e. What kind of stuff should I buy? Are there any legacycentral calibur forums out there? I forget whatelse I was going to ask :\

Here's a pic of my brother on our gokart that we drove around the front yard. Yes, its a real pic! (notice the STi blue paint job with gold rims!) it was 2WD too....solid rear axle!

They're fun!

Im going to be a go kart mechanic for someone who will be racing. I dont know as much yet but I dont mind to help.

Do you want to compete? I suggest getting a full set of equipment from someone who has already made the investment and got tired of it. Even if the tires are the wrong type or you want air cooled instead of fluid cooled you start out alot cheaper than if you did it from scratch.

If you build a go-kart that takes an EJ22 engine I'll do the wiring!
